These terms cover two things: the OpenVoiceUI open-source software and the optional managed hosting service. They are separate and you may use one without the other.
OpenVoiceUI is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software, subject to the conditions of the MIT License.
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.
When you self-host OpenVoiceUI, you are responsible for your own infrastructure, security, backups, API keys, and compliance with applicable laws. You are responsible for the content generated by AI models connected to your instance and for ensuring your use of third-party APIs complies with their respective terms of service.
The following terms apply if you use the OpenVoiceUI managed hosting service (JamBot) operated by Mike Cerqua.
The managed hosting service provides a dedicated, isolated OpenVoiceUI instance running on our infrastructure. Each client receives their own containers, storage, and subdomain. The service includes the application, AI gateway, voice capabilities, canvas system, and skill library.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available but do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or infrastructure issues. We will communicate planned downtime in advance when possible.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
You agree not to use the service to:
You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or generate through the service. We do not claim any rights to your data. Your data is isolated from other clients. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.
We maintain server-level backups for disaster recovery. However, you are encouraged to keep your own copies of important data. We are not liable for data loss.
The managed service connects to third-party AI providers using platform-level API keys we manage. Usage of these APIs is included in your service. If you provide your own API keys for additional services, you are responsible for those accounts and any charges incurred.
Support is provided via email and through the voice AI interface itself. We aim to respond to issues promptly but do not guarantee specific response times. The service does not include a formal SLA unless separately agreed upon.
Either party may terminate the service at any time. Upon termination, we will provide a reasonable window (minimum 30 days) for you to export your data. After that window, your data will be removed from our servers.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate service immediately for violations of the acceptable use policy.
Payment terms, pricing, and billing cycles are communicated separately and may vary by client. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall OpenVoiceUI, its creator, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OpenVoiceUI and its creator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the software or service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. For managed hosting clients, material changes will be communicated via email with at least 30 days notice before taking effect.
